2. speed up the process Ex: We are going slow on this. We need to speed up! Is there any way we can speed up the process?
3. keep track Ex: We need to keep track of what’s everyone doing. Are you keeping track of this project?
Here are a few popular phrases that you can use in your work place:
1.Put something off: This is when you delay or postpone doing something. 「 I put off writing the business report for Monday morning」
2.Take off: when something increases or becomes very popular. 「 The T-shirt sales have really taken of this summer compared to the last summer」
3.Crunch the numbers: to do a lot of calculations 「Jack needs to crunch the numbers before he can hand in his report」
4.Have a lot on your plate: to have a lot of work and responsibilities 「 I cannot meet you for lunch today because I have a lot on my plate」
Here are some phrases that we can use when we talk about work progress.
1. Going according to plan Meaning:Everything is happening in the way that was intended. E.g.: We can finish this project in two months since everything is going according to plan.
2. On track Meaning: making progress and that so far, has been successful E.g.: Because of his leadership and the collaborative efforts of his team, their project is on track and can be done in a few months. 3. Back to the drawing board Meaning: when there’s no progress and plans failed, so you have to think of a new way to achieve your plans E.g.: The proposal was rejected, so I guess it’s back to the drawing board.
