A. 待業中

I’m unemployed. 目前待業中

I’m laid off. 我下崗了 / 被解僱了

I just finished school. 我剛畢業，在找工作中

B. 正在找工作

D. 投簡歷

Resume: 簡歷(a CV / Curriculum Vitae)

To apply for a job: 求職/投遞簡歷

例如：

I'm going to apply for a job in this company.

我打算投遞這個公司的崗位。

Drop off a resume: 投遞簡歷

例如：

If you want to have a job, the first thing you have to do is to drop off a resume.

如果你要找工作的話，第一件事就是去投簡歷。

To hear back: 等消息/等通知

例如：

After the interview, the interviewer told me to go home to hear back.

面試完後，面試官叫我回家等通知。

E. 錄用

I got the job.

我面試通過了 / 我被錄用了

I'm hired.

我被錄用了

I'm employed.

我找到工作了

F. 入職

The first day of work  上班第一天

New guy / girl  新職員/新人

Rookie  新手/新人/新隊員

Trainee  接受培訓者/培訓生

Mentor  導師/職場師父/職場老人

G. 辭職

One week notice   提前一周提離職

H. 辭退

To lose your job   失業了

To be laid off    被裁員/被解僱

To be let go   被裁員/被解僱/被辭退

To be fired   被開除/被解僱

I. 退休

(throw a) retirement party: (舉辦)退休歡送會

例如：

Today is the last day that Mr. Li works here, because he’s going to retire. And we are planning to throw a retirement party.

今天是李先生上班的最後一天了，他要退休了，我們打算辦一個退休歡送會。
