Today is the International Women’s Day. It’s the day to celebrate women’s contributions in all fields. And on this special day I want to share a story of an extraordinary Chinese woman.
今天是國際婦女節，這是一個慶祝女性在各大領域做出傑出貢獻的日子。在這個特殊的日子，我們想要分享一位傑出中國女性的精彩故事。
Her name is Zhang Weili. She is the first Chinese woman who won the World UFC Champion. And today she just defeated the former champion Joanna and became the defending champion.
她的名字叫張偉麗。她是首位獲得UFC世界冠軍的中國女性。就在今天，她剛剛打敗了前任世界冠軍喬安娜，成功衛冕冠軍。
We could not imagine how hard it is for her to win this battle. But She says:
我們無法想像她為了贏得這場戰爭經歷了多少困難，但是她卻說：
This game means a lot for me. I want this victory to bring courage to the doctors and nurses, and policemen who is in the frontline against the virus. Because I myself have conquered countless obstacles and difficulties to win this battle. If I could do it, I believe I could encourage many people.
「這場比賽對我來說意義非凡
我想用這場勝利來給大家鼓氣
來給戰鬥在一線的這些醫護人員
還有這些警察，給他們鼓氣
因為我也是戰勝了很多挫折和困難
如果我可以拿下比賽
我相信我可以鼓勵很多人。」
Before the game, her opponent Joanna constantly provoked her and sneered her. And even made jokes about the epidemic in China. She called Weili that little girl and put a picture of herself wearing a mask on the social media.
在比賽之前，她的對手喬安娜不斷地挑釁和嘲諷她。甚至拿中國的疫情開玩笑。她叫張偉麗「那個小女孩」，並在社交媒體上放出了她戴面罩的圖片。
Weli said nothing but chose to defend herself and her motherland in the octagon. And She did it!!! She defeated Joanna and proves the power of Chinese woman to the world.
偉麗什麼也沒說，她選擇了在八角籠上捍衛自己和祖國的尊嚴。她做到了！她打敗了喬安娜，向世界證明了中國女性的實力！
So today let’s celebrate for Zhang Weili and for many other amazing Chinese women who are making contributions to their families, the society and the country. You may seem soft, but you are strong inside.
所以今天讓我們一起為張偉麗和許許多多為家庭、社會、國家默默風險的偉大中國女性。你們可能看上去很溫柔，但內心卻無比堅強。
As a woman myself, I know how hard it is to be a good daughter, wife, mother and professional at the same time. But today I want you to drop all the tags attached on you, and just be you. So cheer for what you』ve done. Because you are amazing!
