Winter Solstice or Dongzhi Festival, as the name implies, means the coming of late winter. As an important solar term in the traditional Chinese calendar(農曆）, it is also a traditional holiday for Chinese.
In the north of China, there is a traditional saying like this: "eat dumplings on the Winter Solstice and eat noodles on the Summer Solstice." Following the custom, people in different areas would all have dumplings on the Winter Solstice.
冬至，顧名思義是「深冬到來」的意思。這是中國農曆中一個非常重要的節氣，也是中華民族的一個傳統節日。
在中國北方，有一個像這樣的傳統說法：「冬至餃子夏至面」。遵循這樣的習俗，不同地區的人們在冬至這一天都會吃餃子。
