1、stand up

2、stand up for

雖然只多一個for，可意思卻又完全不同，stand up for是指「支持、擁護、捍衛」等意思。比如說「Stand up for life 為生活奮戰」。

例句：

They stood up for what they believed to be right.

他們捍衛了他們認為正確的東西。

3、stand by

stand by 也有支持的意思，但是其還有「袖手旁觀，做好準備」的意思。

（1）British and American warships are standing by to evacuate their citizens if necessary.

英美戰艦已做好準備一有必要就撤出本國公民。

（2）The Secretary of Defence has said that he would not stand by and let democracy be undermined.
