每日一句英譯英：stand-up comedian or talk show

今天「遇到」了一個英語詞彙：He is a stand-up comedian，一看中文：脫口秀。

不對呀！A talk show才是習慣了的中文「脫口秀」，怎麼又來個a stand-up comedian？

So,What do you mean by saying a standup comedian? What does it mean if you say He is a stand-up comedian?

1) What does it mean:a stand-up comedian

If you're a stand-up comedian, you stand up alone and talk to yourself and perform on stage,and you're telling jokes,funny=amusing stories directly in front of a live audience=listeners,or viewers.

2) What does it mean:a talk show,or a chat show

A talk show,or a chat show is a radio programme or a television programme.

In the programme, famous guests=noted guests=celebrity guests=well-known people are asked questions about=are interviewed about themselves, or They discuss a topic or answer questions telephoned in by the audience.

這段英語是給我們一個訓練：訓練我們帶著「英語思維」：Okay.I got you去理解二者區別，並從中記住大量但不一定每以每句的英語，而不是帶著英譯漢的思維「用」中文理解。
