day 是 天，
那「White Day」就是「白天」沒錯啊？
但還真不是這個意思！
如果你和老外說 ：
I work 6 hours during the white day.
你以為你說：
我白天工作6小時.
老外聽到的是：
我在白色情人節工作6小時。。。
White day
=白色情人節
全稱是 White Valentine's Day ，
即「白色情人節」，
最早起源於三世紀時的羅馬。
羅馬皇帝在2月14日，
救了一對因違反戀愛結婚禁令而要被處死的戀人，
為了紀念這一天而設立了情人節。
而在一個月後的3月14日，
這對獲救的戀人宣誓戀情將至死不渝，
為紀念這一天，
於是另訂為白色情人節。

On White Day, 55% of the men will celebrate this day by giving chocolate as presents.

A white elephant一詞，
是來源於印度。
由於印度人很崇拜大象，
尤其是將白象視若神靈。
印度規定，白象是不可以宰殺、幹活，
擁有白象的人家要好好養著它，
不可以虐待它，直到它死去，
所以人們將白象視為一種累贅，
這也就是white elephant的由來。

white sale可不是白色的銷售，
而是英語銷售中專業的說法，
指大減價
(尤指床單,枕套等白織物)。
