趣趣（小編本尊）第一次聽到的時候，一臉懵逼。
我是綠色的？綠的？被綠了？
帶著滿臉的疑惑悄悄的查了一下資料，

If you say that someone isgreen, you mean that they have had very little experience of life or a particular job.
原來在美國俚語裡，這個短語的含義是「我是個新手」。
案例：
-Let me teach you about garbage classification. I'm not green any more.
-讓我來教你垃圾分類吧，我已經不是個新手啦！
-Although everyone seems to be green in this field, Huawei's first foldable phone Mate X has been approved for network access.
-儘管在這一領域似乎人人都是新手，但華為的首款可摺疊手機Mate X已獲準接入網絡。
美式英語裡，跟green相關的俚語，還有一個很常見，那就是 green hand
"Very inexperienced or have little experience or knowledge of something"
也就是「新手，沒經驗」的意思。

-抱歉，我在設計領域是個新手。
除此之外，我們還有很多方式表達「我是個新手」。
① I'm a freshman !
看到這個案例就想起《肖申克的救贖》，裡邊剛來到監獄的新囚犯們走下囚車時，嘲笑他們的人一直都在喊，"新囚犯！今天的新囚犯！"（"Fresh fish！ Fresh fish today！）
② I am a novice !

-事實上，在複雜的軟體世界裡，每個人實際上都是新手。
③ I am a rookie !
Rookie
菜鳥特指剛剛進入職場的職場新人，以及參加某一項專業運動的新人。

.…歐洲巡迴賽中年紀最大的新人。
常見的關於新手的表述還有很多，絕大部分我們都可以意會，比如
Beginner 、New等等詞語，唯有 Green ，獨秀一枝，看單詞和新手沒什麼關係。
