很多同學在做閱讀Fill in Blanks 的時候會遇到一個問題：選項單詞都認識並且知道意思，比如influence, affect, impact，但是它們的意思相同而使用的方法和區別不清楚，所以還是選不出來，最後大家只能靠命來去蒙一個了。
所以針對大家的需求，這一季的小麥獨家絕技，我們專門開設閱讀同義詞辨析小課堂，讓我們能高效地記住並且使用這些閱讀裡出現的高頻詞彙，並理解它們的用法和區別。
今天我們要講的一組詞都是有「提供」的意思： offer, provide, supply；那它們的區別是什麼呢，我們一起來看看！
「提供」，但表示主動提供, 自願給予（所以主語通常是人)，其後可接雙賓
常見結構：offer sb sth // offer sth to sb
Eg: He offered her a good job
（主動）表示願意（做某事): offer to do sth
Eg: Peter offered to teach them English
an amount of money that someone is willingto pay for something:出價，報價
Eg: I had an offer of $2 500 for the car
available to be bought or used: 提供的；供使用的；待售的: on offer
Eg: We were amazed at the range of productson offer.
A law or rule that provides that somethingmust happen states officially that it must happen : (formal) (of a law or rule 法律或規則) 規定
Eg：The treatyprovides that the United States must have removed its bases
to give something to a person, company, ororganization, or to make it available for them to use：提供, 給予
常見結構：provide sb (with sth) // provide sth (for/to sb)
Eg: He provided us with a lot of useful information.
an amount of sth that is provided oravailable to be used: 供應量，供給量
Eg: The water supply is unsafe.
Supplies: food or other things necessaryfor living: （軍隊或探險隊等的）補給，補給品
Eg: Our supplies were running out.
to provide something that is wanted orneeded, often in large quantities and over a long period of time: 長期，定期供應，強調替代或補充所需物品
常見結構：supply sth (to/for sb) // supply sb/sth (with sth)
Eg: All employees are supplied with safetyequipment.
當牽涉到金錢時,provide 往往意味著"免費供給/供應",而 supply 則不明確,一般說來"給某人提供某物"時須給錢
