Father Beaver was working in the yard.

He was making something out of wood.

He worked and worked.

Mother Beaver came out of the house.

海狸媽媽從房子裡出來了。

「What is Father making?」asked Little Beaver.

「爸爸在做什麼？「小海狸問。

「He will not tell us!」

「他不會告訴我們的！

「What are you making?」asked Mother Beaver.

「你在做什麼？「海狸媽媽問。

「Is it for Baby Beaver?」

「是給小海狸的嗎？」

「Is it for Little Beaver?」

「我是為小海狸設計的嗎？」

「Is it for you and me?」

「是給你和我的嗎？「

Father Beaver said,「Just wait and see!」

Father worked and worked.

Then he said,」Close your eyes.」

他說：「閉上眼睛。」

Father worked some more.

父親又工作了一些。

「Open your eyes,「he said.

「睜開眼睛，」他說。

「Look at this little house「said Father Beaver.

「看看這所小房子，」海狸神父說。

」It is for Little Beaver, and it is for Baby Beaver.「

「是給小海狸的，是給小海狸的。」

「What color will you paint the house?」

「你要把房子漆成什麼顏色？」

Father Beaver asked them.

海狸神父問他們。
