With a mild climate all year around, green trees thrivedand flowers bloomed in all seasons- the scenery was extremely beautiful. In amountainous country like Nepal, Kantipur was thus seen as abright jewel, there you could find almostall the popular religions which had flowed intoNepal.康提普爾面積不大，城市建築不過七平方公裡，但布滿了佛塔、廟宇、殿堂和寺院，據說有二百五十餘座，皆造型典雅，氣勢雄偉，各具特色，美輪美奐。一入城中，首先躍入眼帘的，是那屹立在山巔的印度教神廟，金碧輝煌，十分惹眼，內供印度教主神大梵天。此外，還有世界上最大的半月形實體建築大佛塔，以及著名的印度教寺廟巴舒巴蒂廟。Spread across 7 square kilometers, Kantipurwas rather a small city. However, here you could find Buddhist pagodas, temples,shrines and monasteries everywhere, more than two hundred and fifty in totalaccording to the legend. They were all very elegantly designed and magnificently built, each was uniqueand special in its own way. When enteringthe city, the first construction that may leap into youreye would be a Hindu temple sitting ona mountain peak, resplendent and magnificent, rathereye-catching. The temple was dedicated to the Hindu God Brahma. Besides this, thecity also had the largest Buddhist pagodabuilt in the semicircular shape, as well as the famous Hindu temple Pashupati.我們到達尼泊爾時，正趕上尼泊爾的女神節。這幾乎是當地最熱鬧的節日。尼泊爾人穿著我看來奇形怪狀的衣服，來朝拜女神。我把能趕上女神節當成了人生的一個重要緣起。我很高興。後來，我便是以女性上師奶格瑪和司卡史德的法脈傳承者的身份留名青史的，有人甚至將香巴噶舉教法稱為智慧空行母的法脈。Upon our arrival, the Nepalese were celebrating the Kumari Festival, probably the mostbizarre one in Nepal. They were wearing quite ridiculous outfits to worship their Goddess. I always regard my catching up with the KumariFestival as an important event of my life.I was quite pleased. Later on, I stampedmy name on the page of history as an heir to the lineage of two lady-masters: Niguma andSukhasiddhi. Some even considerthe Shangpa Kagyu teachings as theLineageof Wisdom Dakinis.
