Joe Sanders has the most beautiful garden in our town. Nearly everybody enters for 'The Nicest Garden Competition' each year, but Joe wins every time.

Bill Frith's garden is larger than Joe's. Bill works harder than Joe and grows more flowers and vegetables, but Joe's garden is more interesting. He has made neat paths and has built a wooden bridge over a pool. I like gardens too, but I do not like hard work.

[1] Joe Sanders has the most beautiful garden in our town. 本句中是形容詞和副詞的比較級和最高級，如果形容詞和副詞有兩個以上音節，其比較級和最高級是在形容詞或副詞前加more或most，舉例：more interesting，the most beatiful。

形容詞或副詞

規則變化

[1] 現在詞尾加-er/est.

舉例：warm-warmer-warmest

[2]以字母e結尾的詞，在詞尾加-r/-st.

eg: late-later-latest

[3]以輔音字母加-y結尾的雙音節詞，先把「y」改為「i」，再加-er/-est.

eg: funny-funnier-funniest

[4]以只有一個輔音字母結尾的重讀閉音節詞，先雙寫輔音字母再加-er/-est.

eg: thin-thinner-thinnest

[5]多音節詞，在詞尾加-more/-most.

eg: outgoing-more outgoing-most outgoing

不規則變化

不規則變化就只有這幾個詞，大家只需牢牢記在心裡就好了。
