今天就跟大家講講，插隊的英語表達吧！
隊伍有兩個表達：line和queue
line是美式英語
而queue /kjuː/是英式英語
line和queue作名詞時是隊伍的意思
表示很長的隊伍
可以用long/huge/big來修飾
例：
①There is a huge line at the counter.
櫃檯前排起了長隊。
②There was a big queue.
隊伍排得很長。
「插隊」常用的英語表達：

cut in line
例：
I'm not letting you cut in line.
我不會讓你插隊的。
②
英式英語中常用：jump the queue
queue [kjuː]（人或車排成的）隊，行列
例：
It makes me mad when someone jumps the queue.
有人插隊的話我就會很生氣。
所以「別插隊」英語可以說：
Don't cut in line! 或 Don't jump the queue!
例：
Hey, don't cut in line! Get behind the rest of us!
嘿，不要插隊。到我們後面去。

be/stand/wait in a queue
例：
We stood in a queue for half an hour.
我們排了半小時隊。

join the line/queue
例：
You'll have to join the queue.
你得排隊。

queue up/line up
這裡的line和queue都是動詞，表示排隊
例：
① Dozens of people were queueing up to get tickets.
幾十個人在排隊買票。
② People lined up all night for the latest cell phone.
人們熬夜排隊購買最新的手機
大家要注意哦
提醒別人排隊，說不能插隊
你這麼做是不對的這類的話
是很容易造成矛盾，引起衝突的
我們可以委婉地提醒別人
隊伍在這，請排隊！可以說：

這兒在排隊呢。

We are all waiting in line.
我們都在排著隊呢。

Line starts here.
從這兒排隊。
當然如果是真的有急事
想要快點排到，就需要和排在前面的人
客氣地說：May l go first？
加上你的理由。只要好好說
相信大部分人都是能接受的
例：
May I go first? I'm running late for work.
可以讓我先嗎？我上班要遲到了。
既然講到line
那麼大家知道「on the lin」是什麼意思嗎？
on the line = 面臨危險，處於危險之中
例：
Almost 3,000 jobs have been lost recently, and a further 3,000 are on the line.
最近已有將近3000人失去了工作，另外還有3000人也面臨著失業的危險。
