Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a composition on the topic: Mixed Marriage Encounters More Problems. You should write at least 120 words, and your composition should be based on the following information:

現在,跨國婚姻越來越多。請你就此現象加以說明並且具體分析跨國婚姻所面臨的問題。

【範文】

Mixed Marriage① Encounters More Problems

Mixed marriage becomes more and more popular. At first glance, when we see it, we are envious and surprised. After all, mixed couples come from different countries of completely different languages and cultures. In fact, they must face more problems than others.

First, they must decide on which country to live in. Then, can they cover② all expenses themselves that they spend on visiting their parents who live in another country, sometimes even rather far away? What’s more, how to get along well with the spouse’s social relations, who live in a different country?

Secondly, they will certainly have a culture shock③. Such shock will appear easily. Each nation has its own culture. It’s hard to get accustomed to④ another custom because one may stick to his own custom consciously or unconsciously. Maybe the pressure they take on is more than that they can ever imagine.

Thirdly, when babies come to the world, how to educate them? They have more problems than others, such as language, culture, citizenship and so on.

Though mixed marriages have so many problems, love can’t be compelled⑤. As long as you never lose heart, no difficulty is too great for us to triumph over⑥.
