為推進順德區學校英語教育特色建設，激發中小學生英語學習興趣，提高學生綜合語言運用能力，順德區教育局本學期舉辦了第四屆「中行杯」順德區中小學生英語口語大賽。2019年5月26日下午，小學段的總決賽在順德京師勵耘學校舉行。選手們經過激烈的角逐，最終其中十二選手榮獲本次比賽的一等獎。

Hello, everyone! My name is Joe. I like playing the violin because when I’m exhausted or tired, I prefer to play the violin to make me happy. The music and its lovely sound calms me down. My favourite sonata is Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Spring. In addition to violin, I also love planes. When I grow up, I want to be a plane inventor. I have even kept an English plane diary.
My Parent--My Dearest Mom
What is the most precious and admirable thing in the world? To me, it is family. A family can comfort you at difficult times and admire you. My parents are very important for my family and in my life.
I love my parents, but who is my favourite? My mother, so I’m going to talk about her today. My mother is the one who I spend the most time with. She is absolutely the apple of my eye.
First, she is marvelously strict. She cares a lot about my studies, so she might shout at me like a lion if I don’t do my homework properly or perfectly.
She is also strict about my behavior. When I do something awful and negative, she tells me not to do it again and how to correct the mistake. But what if I do something absolutely bad? I still remember the last time I did something bad. I joyfully went down to the park with a bottle full of soap water to meet my friends. Surprisingly, they were all carrying squirt guns and sprayed me all over with water, and I got very wet. In my defense, I proudly poured soap water on them, and their faces and bodies were all covered with soap. When I got home, do you know who was waiting for me? My mom! She grounded me from playing.
In addition to all of these above, she is super-duper kind as well. One time, when she heard about a girl who couldn’t get into college because of money problems, my mother funded her family. As a result of my mother’s generosity and kindness, the girl was able to successfully attend college and receive a degree.
Last but not least, she is extremely motivating. When I don’t feel confident, she motivates me, and magically, I feel confident.
This is my mother who is very kind-hearted and strict. She will always be in my heart wherever I go. That is all. Thank you!
