今天趣趣君給大家介紹的是一些英語環境中看似可以表述人的水果。
1，You are a lemon.
lemon在英語中除了表示檸檬之外，還可以表示
Something that is worthless or much less valuable than one was led to believe.
即：沒用的東西，說得好聽但實際沒有價值的東西。
所以，當老外說：
"You are a lemon."這個短語 你是個無用的人。
例：
This car is a total lemon. It's a waste of money.
這個車不好用。買它純粹是浪費錢。
My phone is a lemon.
我的手機不好用。
2，top banana
top banana可不是字面上的「頂級香蕉」的意思
這是一個俚語，常見的意思有兩個：
1. the most important person in any group
一群人中最重要的人物
比如我們中文中常說的「頭兒」、「一把手」、「頂頭上司」等
都可以用這個短語來表示
例：
I don't know when we'll finish, ask Jack, he's the top banana here.
我不知道我們什麼時候結束，問傑克吧，他是我們的頭兒。
2. the leading comedian in a burlesque show
滑稽戲中的主演喜劇演員
例：
The top banana's perform was very funny, making all of us laughed.
那個喜劇演員的表演非常有趣，使我們都笑了起來。
3，You're a peach.
peach 是桃子，但You're a peach 可不是：你是個桃子。
形容人的時候，老外用peach代表討人喜歡的人，好人
所以You're a peach.=你是個好人/你是個討人喜歡的人。
例：
I like travelling with her. She is such a peach.
我喜歡和她旅行，她是個討人喜歡的女孩。
She is a peach to work with.
她是一個很好的工作夥伴。
4，the apple of one's eye
the apple of one's eye 不是「眼中的蘋果」
而是「掌上明珠，至愛」
這一用法源自《聖經舊約詩篇》：
Keep me as the apple of the eye.
求你保護我，如同保護眼中的瞳孔。
apple在當時指的是「瞳孔」（現在用pupil表達），是眼睛裡最重要最珍貴的部分。
雖然現在用pupil表示「瞳孔」了，但是the apple of one's eye這一用法保留了下來，用來表示「掌上明珠，心肝寶貝」。
例：
She is the apple of her husband's eye.
她是她丈夫的至愛。
Harper is the apple of her father's eye.
哈珀是她父親的掌上明珠。
