語言是隨著社會發展而發展演變的，很多新出現的熱點詞翻譯也引起不少人的興趣。
詞語的釋義是和源語言國家的文化密不可分的，比如中文說「上火」「坐月子」「撒嬌」這些詞在英文語言中，並沒有表達完全相同的對應詞。
經常聽到學生練習口語話題時說：我的好朋友是『sunshine boy』可是英文中完全沒有這個表達。
釋義：Douchebag
用法：
Anny: I can't believe that I'm in love with a married man!
Bieber: OMG! What are you doing with your life?
Anny: He told me he was ready to leave his wife, but never mentioned he has a son!
Bieber: What a douchebag!
解析：
Be in love with someone意思是愛上某人；a married man意思是已婚男人；What are you doing with your life?很好用的口語句子，帶有驚嘆的口吻說:你這樣浪費你的生命究竟在搞什麼鬼? Douchebag這個罵人的詞比asshole和jerk感情色彩還要重一些。
釋義：Backup girl/guy
用法：
Bieber: I'm so in love with Natasha,but she says she is looking for an open relationship.
Anny: Who? Natasha? I thought she is seeing Mark, the Chinese guy! I saw them at IKEA yesterday!
Bieber: Yeah, I'm not surprised. She told me she is seeing a few guys. I guess I am just one of her backup guys.
解析：
Open relationship這個短語也和文化有關，中文沒有一一對應的原詞表達，意思是開放式戀愛關係，說人話就是男女朋友雙方在和彼此保持戀愛關係的同時，也可以和別人同時談戀愛，不限於未婚已婚也可。Seeing someone就是在和某人約會戀愛，（但不一定已經確立男女朋友關係）。

用法：
Anny: Are you watching the new American program 'This Is Us'？
Bieber: Not really. Is it good?
Anny: Well, I'm watching it because the actor and the actress are all very good looking.
解析：
先說美劇This is us最近在美國熱映，生活溫情劇廣受好評，大家可以在天天美劇找來看。顏值這個詞呢純中文，英文勉強翻譯為The prettiness rating，但是在生活表達中還是自然簡單的說good looking就好了，避免Chinglish.
釋義：Rich but uneducated people,redneck(American)
用法：
Bieber: How was your date last night?
Anny: Uh, don't metion it. The guy I went out with ordered everything expensive on the menu.
Bieber: What does he do?
Anny: He doesn't have a job. His parents pay for everything.
Bieber: What a redneck!
解析：
How was your date? 約會怎麼樣？Redneck是美國英語的Slang俚語，但是英國人不見得聽得懂這個詞，所以為了讓自己表達清楚不妨說someone is rich but uneducated.
釋義：Someone who is always happy
用法：
Bieber: I've heard that you hired a new intern? How is he?
Anny: Much better than the previous one! Mike always looks happy , very out-going and he always entertains me!
解析：
Intern實習生；previous one之前的那個。另外表達前任的詞綴是ex-，比如ex-boyfriend；還有一種表達：former boyfriend。陽光男孩這個詞經常聽到學生說sunshine boy，不可以哦，英文中沒有這個表達。
釋義：To act childish
用法:
Anny: Is your girlfriend ok?
Bieber: Yes, she is fine! She just wants me to buy her a ring.
Anny: Oh, I thought she is not feeling well. It seems she is in pain.
Bieber: Nah, she is just acting childish, but she thinks it's cute.
解析：
Not feeling well意思為身體不舒服；be in pain身體上痛苦。撒嬌發嗲也是中文特色的詞在英文中沒有一一對應的詞。找外國男友使用手冊其中一條就是，你撒嬌發嗲他可能get不到。在你拿捏作鬧一番後，你的外國西方男友，可能會問你：你哪疼？所以英文翻譯成鬧孩子氣acting childish裝可愛。
釋義：Take a selfie
用法：
Anny: Come on, let's take another selfie!
Bieber: Are you serious? Come on, not again!
Anny: One more! One more! I'm finding my best angle!
Bieber: I'm getting annoyed Anny! You are being so narcissistic!
解析：
短語take a selfie本來也是英文後來創造的新詞，中文自拍意思是很直接一一對應的翻譯。Be annoyed很不耐煩的；narcissistic自戀的，這個詞大家愛用那就一定注意發音：英 [,nɑːsɪ'sɪstɪk]。
