英語中有很多表示模糊概念的詞語，那它們都是怎麼用的呢
在學習之前，讓我們先看一下中文中一些模糊概念的句子吧！或許可以幫助我們理解為什麼要弄清楚這些英文單詞。
「他大約50歲」
「他看起來像一位醫生」
「他也許有點可怕」

下面來看看這些短語的用法
1.More or less或多或少，差不多
I mean it’s more or less the same as the last one.我覺得它和上一個差不多。
2.one or two bits一兩個
There are one or two bits we should look at.有一到兩處的地方，我們需要看一下。
請注意，這裡說的一到兩處的地方，有可能是三到四處。它的意思是說這裡有一些地方怎麼樣。只是用了one or two bits來表達。
看一下這個對話，你或許可以更清楚
I mean the book is more or less the same as the last one, but there are one or two bits we should look at.我覺得這個書和上一本差不多，但是有一些地方我們需要看一下。
讓我們再來看一下有一些表示模糊數字的方式吧
1. About
Have you got all the pencils? 你拿到所有的鉛筆了嗎
Yeah… there’s about a hundred in that box and about thirty in that one. 是的，大概有一百個在那個盒子裡，還有30在這個盒子裡。
2. around
he is around twenty.他大概二十左右
I leave work at about 6 most days.我通常是6點左右下班
Shall we meet at around five? 我們5點左右見面吧
我知道你們早就已經知道了around 和about了，但是下面的短語你可能不一定知道喲！請看
a. how many people work in the factory? 多少人在這個工廠上班
b. About fifty-odd.50人左右。
這裡的odd是about的意思。但odd不像about 和around那麼常用。而且也不能用它去形容人的年齡以及表達時間的概念。Odd只可以用來表達數量上的模糊概念。
如果你想表達模糊的時間，除了用about(about 2 o』clock)試試下面這種說法吧
What time do you think you』ll be finished tonight?你今晚什麼時候能夠完成
I don’t know , sevenish maybe.我不知道。大概7點吧
Sevenish .所以如果你想表達一個模糊的時間概念，可以在數字的詞尾加ish; fiveish; sixish; sevenish;

3. sort of; kind of
除了上面的幾種表達方法，我們還可以用sort of 來表達一個模糊的概念。
