四級考完，漢譯英部分又不負眾望上了熱搜，其中造詞最多的就是「四世同堂了」。
有網友這樣譯：Son, gradson, father and grandfather stay with each other.
也就網友考試時這樣寫：Four people live together.
事實上，老舍先生有本名作就叫做《四世同堂》，英譯版的書名是：Four Generations Under One Roof.
當然， 在考場緊張的環境下想不到這個表達的話，寫成four generations live together，也是正確的。
我們在考試翻譯時的確會碰到一兩個難處理的詞彙，但翻譯的好壞，分數的高低，最主要還是取決於句子的表達和句子間的銜接。老師把今年四級三篇翻譯都做了下，貼在下面供大家參考，如果有問題的話歡迎留言提問。

With housing condition improved, an increasing number of young couple live apart from their parents, though there still exists strong bonds between them. A great number of old people help to take care of their grandchildren. Young couple also take time, especially in important festivals like the Spring Festival and the mid-autumn festival, to visit their parents.

中國家庭十分重孩子的教育。許多父母認為應該努力工作，確保孩子受到良好的教育。他們不僅非常情願為孩子的教育投資，而且花很多時間督促他們學習。多數家長希望孩子能上名牌大學。由於改革開放，越來越多的家長能送孩子到國外學習或參加國際交流項目，讓其拓寬視野。通過這些努力，他們期望孩子健康成長，為國家的發展和繁榮做出貢獻。

Believing that they should work hard to ensure their children's access to good education, many parents are willing to ont only invest in their children's education, but also spend a lot of time urging them to learn. Most parents hope their children can get enrolled in a prestigeous university. Thanks to the reform and opening-up, an increasing number of parents can afford to send their children to study abroad or participate in international exchange programs to broaden their horizons. They expect, through these efforts, their children to grow up healthily and contribute to the development and prosperity of the country.

四級翻譯第三套
中國漢族人的全名由姓和名組成。中文姓名的特點是,姓總是在前,名跟在其後,千百年來,父姓一直世代相傳。然而,如今,孩子跟母親姓並不罕見。一般來說,名有一個或兩個漢字,通常承載父母對孩子的願望。從孩子的名字可以推斷出父母希望孩子成為什麼樣的人,或者預期他們過什麼樣的生活。父母非常重視給孩子取名,因為名字往往會伴隨孩子一生。

The full name of the Han Chinese consists of a family name and a given name. The feature of Chinese name is that the family name always comes before the given name. For thousands of years, the family name on their father's side has been handed down from generation to generation. Nowadays, however, it is not uncommon for children to take their mother's last name. One or two Chinese characters in most cases, a given name usually carry parents' best wishes for their children. A child's name can tell you what kind of person the parents want their child to be, or what kind of life they expect their child to lead. Parents take their children's name seriously because names always go with them a lifetime.
