At 08:00 a.m. today, the 27th super typhoon Francisco became a severe typhoon. It centered at the sea areas of Northwest Pacific about 1810 km south by west of Tokyo (19.7°N, 136.2°E). The maximum wind forces near central parts was scale 15 (50m/s) and minimum air pressure was 940 hPa.
It is forecasted to move north by northwest at the speed of 10-15 km per hour with weakening intensity. Influenced by Francisco and cold air, from the night of October 22 to the daytime of 23, most sea areas of East China Sea will see high wind with force scale 7-9 and gust with force scale 10-11.

At 08:00 a.m. today, the 28th tropical storm Lekima centered at the sea areas of Northwest Pacific about 3420 km northwest of Tokyo (11.6°N, 160.8°E). The maximum wind forces near central parts was scale 9 (23m/s) and minimum air pressure was 990 hPa.
It is forecasted to move northwest at the speed of 15 km per hour with gaining intensity. It will not influence the offshore of China in the coming 3 days. (Oct. 21)
