自從進入秋冬季以來，國內甲流病例急劇增多。近日國務院副總理李克強來到中國藥品生物製品檢定所，考察甲型H1N1流感疫苗的研發與檢驗工作，並在現場召開了應對甲型流感聯防聯控機制工作會議。

Li noted that autumns and winters were high-occurrence seasons for the flu, and urged the authorities to improve disease prevention and treatment in order to stop the disease from fast spreading across the country.
李（克強）指出，秋冬季是流感的高發季節，他敦促權威部門改進疾病防禦和治療能力，阻止疾病在全國迅速傳播。
在上面的報導中，high-occurrence season就是「高發季節」。Occurrence的意思是「發生，出現，發生的事情」。例如：an event of rare occurrence（不常發生的事情）；Newspapers record the chief occurrences of the day.（報紙刊載每天的大事。）
下了幾場大雪後，人們漸漸感覺到冬日的寒意，還好現在已進入了heating season（供暖季）。天氣轉冷，人們更願意待在家裡看電視，美劇迷們可以關注下新出的劇集，因為美國每年秋冬季都是很多電視劇的debut season（首映季）。再過一個月，就會進入Christmas shopping season（聖誕購物季）。冬季也是flu season（流感多發季），所以還是應該注意保暖和衛生，以防病毒入侵。
