「寒潮」是指冷空氣大規模侵襲，
造成大範圍急劇降溫的天氣過程
可以用 cold spell 來表達
spell 在這裡指的是「（某種天氣的)一段持續時間」

spell作名詞還可以表示「輪流、輪班」
