some 和any 既可用在可數名詞，亦可用在不可數名詞前。
一般而言，some用在肯定句中，any用在否定句和一般疑問句中。
一、some的用法：
1. 用在肯定句中，意為「一些（a few / a little）」
We love taking some photos when seeing sights.
我們喜歡在觀光時拍些照片。
There are always some friends who I can turn to in trouble.
總有一些朋友，在有困難時我可以求助於他們。
I need some advice on how to improve my English.
我需要一些如何提高英語水平的建議。
What you need is just some confidence and courage.
你需要的只是一些自信和勇氣。
2. 用在疑問句中，意為「一些（a few / a little）」
1）表示請求，邀請，或建議的一般疑問句。
Would you like some wine first?
你想先喝點酒嗎？
Would you like some more cake?
還想再來點蛋糕嗎？
May I ask you some questions?
我可以問你幾個問題嗎？
2）提問人預計得到回答是肯定的一般疑問句。
Are there some eggs in the fridge?
冰箱裡有雞蛋嗎？
Have you got some cash?
你有現金嗎？
Can you take some measures to stop it?
你們能採取措施阻止它嗎？
這種情況和any很難區別，考試時為了保險還是用any吧。
老師不會和你理論是否想得到肯定回答。
3）特殊疑問句及選擇疑問句。
因為並不是對some所修飾或代替的名詞表示疑問。
Where can I get some travel information?
我在哪裡可以得到一些旅遊信息？
Why do some people disagree with the plan?
為什麼有些人不同意這個計劃？
Do you have some pens or pencils?
你有鋼筆或鉛筆嗎？
二、any的用法
1. any用在一般疑問句中，意為「一些（a few / a little）」
Are there any trains to Beijing at night?
晚上有去北京的火車嗎？
Is there any news about them?
有他們的消息嗎？
Have you been to any interesting places?
你去過什麼有趣的地方嗎？
2. any用在否定句中，意為「沒有一個/點; 沒有人（none）」
There isn’t any money in my wallet.
我的錢包裡沒有錢。
There aren’t any students」 in the classroom.
教室裡沒有學生。
「not any」 相當於「no」.
I don't like any of them.
我一個都不喜歡。
He has two sisters but I haven’t any.
他有兩個妹妹，但我沒有。
3. any也可以肯定句中，意為「任何」
You can read any book in our library.
你可以讀我們圖書館的任何一本書。
Any of the four seasons is warm here.
這裡四季如春。（任何季節都很溫暖）
註：由some-和any-構成的複合不定代詞和不定副詞，其用法區別多與some和any相同。
