約翰·列儂(John Lennon，1940-1980)，英國搖滾音樂家，歌手，作曲家，藝術家，演員，和平主義者，曾獲大英帝國勳章(Most Excellent Order of the British Empire)。他因為披頭四樂隊(The Beatles)的創始人之一而享譽世界。列儂和保羅麥卡特尼(Paul McCartney)的組合是最成功最有影響力的歌曲創作組合之一，他們共同創作出了歷史上最著名的搖滾歌曲。列儂在電視中，電影中，著作中，採訪中展現出了放任不羈的性格和過人的機智。
John Lennon was an English musician, singer and songwriter who rose to worldwide fame as a founder member of the Beatles, one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed acts in the history of popular music.
Lennon revealed a rebellious nature and acerbic wit in his music, writing, drawings, on film and in interviews. Controversial through his political and peace activism, he moved to New York City in 1971, where his criticism of the Vietnam War resulted in a lengthy attempt to deport him, while some of his songs were adopted as anthems by the anti-war movement.
Lennon is responsible for 25 number-one singles on the US Hot 100 chart. In 2002, a BBC poll on the 100 Greatest Britons voted him eighth, and in 2008, Rolling Stone ranked him the fifth-greatest singer of all time. He was posthumously inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1987 and into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
