大多數人看到的第一反應都是這怎麼可能？但是還真的有人做到了。
於是，更多人抱著試試看的心態，進行了立掃把挑戰（broomstick challenge）。
也有人試著對掃把之外的東西進行了挑戰。
更有甚者，直接對超市下手了，一時間超市裡的掃把都站出來集體「開會」了。
這麼有趣的挑戰，怎麼能少的了我們呢？又趕上了幾乎全民宅在家的「特殊時期」，中國人民的「鬼才」更是發揮到了極致。立掃把什麼的太弱了，下面向我們走來的是微博和朋友圈挑戰「方陣」。
當然，普特君友情提醒，只要相機按的夠快，就沒有我們立不起來的東西。大家看了圖個樂就好啦，別太認真。不過，也有人很認真地提出了質疑，那超過12點了掃把就會倒嗎？還有人直接指出掃把每天都能立起來，並不是只有那一天。眼看事情越鬧越大，NASA也坐不住了，請了太空人和科學家出來為大家解釋，這並不是什麼完美重力角度，只是一個簡單的物理學原理而已。不論哪一天，掃把都能立起來。

The broomstick challenge is the latest challenge to take over Twitter. The basic premise is that brooms and other objects can stand upright through a mysterious trick of gravity, but only on certain days of the year.
「立掃把挑戰」是推特上最新流行的挑戰。這個挑戰的基本前提是掃把和其他物體可以通過一種神秘的重力作用而直立起來，但是只有在一年的某些天才行。
According to Twitter, the challenge came from NASA, who said that today—February 10, 2020—was the only day a broomstick can stand up on its own because of something to do with gravitational pull.

While a lot less dangerous than previous trends that have gone viral, like the Tide Pod challenge, the scientific reasoning behind it is equally shaky and there is no source from NASA supporting these claims.

Instead, it stems from a longstanding urban myth, claiming that every year on the vernal and autumnal equinox, eggs are able to balance on their ends. The rumor pops up most years, usually around the equinox, in some iteration or another and recently has taken the form of brooms instead of eggs.

That this ordinary, less-than-unique challenge blew so many minds and went viral left NASA scientists shaking their heads. NASA wants everyone to know that 「basic physics」 ― not some mythical fluctuation in gravity ― is the reason a broomstick can stand upright on its own.

This is another social media hoax that exemplifies how quickly pseudoscience and false claims can go viral. While this hoax was harmless, it also shows why it’s important for all of us to do some fact checking and research … before jumping into the latest viral craze.
這又是一個社交媒體騙局，它證明了偽科學和虛假聲明傳播的有多快。雖然這個惡作劇是無害的，但是它也說明了在盲目跟風之前，我們每個人都應該做一些事實核查和研究。
