When dining on board, you might even become more curious about food than usual. A meal on an international flight is actually not simple; it reflects the features of the airlines and its considerate services. The airlines always try to offer something new and impress their passengers. If you fly from Chengdu, you may have the opportunity to try these different meals.

航線：成都—香港（中轉至國際）
在港龍航空航班上，你便極有可能嘗到哈根達斯冰淇淋（經濟艙也不例外）、illy咖啡以及粵式風味的奶茶、點心等美味。經濟艙主食方面，多選用肉汁較多的牛羊肉烹製，同樣為人稱道。港龍航空的時令餐膳則有如秋冬季的商務艙蟹粉餐或煲仔飯。從成都出發前往香港並中轉至全球不僅能吃到外國星級名廚設計的餐食，還有超過40款美酒可選。

Route: Chengdu - Hong Kong (to international destinations)
On a Dragonair flight, you are very likely to be served with Häagen-Dazs ice cream (even you're in Economy Class), illy coffee, Cantonese milk tea and Dimsums. Meals served for Economy Class are usually juicy beef and mutton, which have been well received by passengers. Dragonair also provides seasonal meals, such as Crab Noodles and Clay Pot Rice for Business Class passengers in autumn and winter. It's also a good choice to depart from Chengdu and transfer in Hong Kong to global destinations. You can taste meals designed by foreign starred chefs and drink more than 40 kinds of wine at your will.

英國航空經濟艙提供經典的可選主菜、三菜一餐（主菜、甜點、沙拉）的餐食，在所有航班上皆有免費酒吧服務。而高級經濟艙的乘客，還可以從公務艙的菜單上挑選主菜。
如今從成都出發的航班上，除了傳統的漢堡以及西式牛排等，公務艙乘客還可以點到四川擔擔麵，一嘗中國特色。

British Airways
Route: Chengdu - London
British Airways provides World Traveller Economy Class customers with a classical three-course menu with optional main courses. The free bar service is available on all British Airways flights. World Traveller Plus Premium Economy Class customers can order main courses on the Club World Business Class menu.
British Airways offers Chinese customers a range of local food options on board. Customers flying from Chengdu can taste Sichuan noodles.

四川航空定期更新餐單，相繼開發了四季機餐系列：冬季「年味」系列包含臘肉香腸、粉子湯圓和粗糧食品；「春之味」有春茶、藤椒雞和兔丁；夏秋則推出「家常味」系列的紅燒肉、宮保雞丁、小炒肉等地道川菜。2014年9月，川航還將四川冒菜選為機餐，讓無辣不歡的四川食客在萬米高空品嘗到家鄉美味。乘坐過川航的乘客對配備「老乾媽辣椒醬」的川航機餐小心意也一定記憶深刻，乘客們在機艙內歡快地分食辣椒醬，也算是一道獨特風景。

Sichuan Airlines
Airline: Chengdu - Melbourne
Sichuan Airlines updates its menus regularly, according to customer feedback and its self-innovation. So far, it has created seasonal menus: preserved meat, sausage, rice dumplings and coarse grains in winter; spring tea, Chicken Flavored with Vine Pepper, and Diced Rabbit in spring; Braised Pork in Brown Sauce, Kung Pao Chicken, and Stir-fried Pork in summer and autumn. In September 2014, Sichuan Airlines added Maocai into its menu, providing opportunities to passengers to taste this authentic Sichuan cuisine over the sky. In addition, Sichuan Airlines also provides Laoganma chili sauces to passengers. For many, sharing chili sauces on the plane might be an unforgettable memory during the journey.

咖喱雞肉飯、黑椒雞肉飯、蝦仁面、蝦仁沙拉、番茄鮪魚沙拉、椰子糕……豐富泰式風味在泰國航空的班機上得以保留。酒水方面，泰航經濟艙內也可提供數種葡萄酒以供選擇。商務艙內一般有四種主食可選，還有可能吃到泰式魚丸米粉湯、冬陰功湯等。如果乘坐泰國航空前往環球各地，則有機會品嘗到目的地特色美食。

Curry Chicken Rice, Black Pepper Chicken Rice, Shrimp Noodles, Shrimp Salad, Tomato Tuna Salad, Coconut Cake… a variety of Thai tastes are maintained on Thai Airways flights. As to drinks, even Economy Class passengers are served with several kinds of wines. Generally, four kinds of main courses are served to Business Class passengers.You may have Thai Rice Noodles Soup with Fish Ball and Tom Yum Soup. Moreover, the flights that take you to worldwide destinations can provide opportunity for you to taste worldwide delicacies.

Route: Chengdu - Abu Dhabi
On long distance flights, Economy Class passengers are served with 3 kinds of set meals, including a vegetarian meal. On flights departing from Chengdu, passengers will have Beef Seasoned with Arabic Spices and several choices of Arabic tea and coffee. As a very considerate service, drinking water is served to passengers every half hour. Fresh ingredients are cooked for Business Class passengers. The wine menu gives detailed introduction to global wine origins, tastes and tasting tips. A catering manager from world's top hotel and restaurants can help passengers with pairing food and wine.
Etihad Airways is indeed a luxurious airline. The menu for First Class passengers includes welcome ceremony, cocktail reception ceremony, as well as 7 dishes and drinks including appetizers, pre-dinner desserts, cookies and brandy.

航線：成都—阿姆斯特丹
在經濟艙內，除了意面、米飯、甜點、沙拉等經典餐食，還有四種單點菜單，可通過官網預定，而這在國際航班中已是較為普遍的點餐方法。不能錯過的還有喜力啤酒。除此以外，上世紀五十年代起，荷航便為環宇商務艙乘客贈送代爾夫特藍陶小屋紀念品，內裝金酒。近期，他們還邀請設計師為新環宇商務艙設計了瓷器、餐具、玻璃器皿和亞麻製品，在細節上體現特色。

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines

The Economy Class passengers are served with classic food such as spaghetti, rice, desserts and salad. Four kinds of A la carte meals can be pre-ordered online, which is already a common service given by most international airlines. Heineken beer is a signature. What's more, since 1950s, KLM has been presenting every World Business Class passenger with a unique gift: a Delft Blue house filled with Dutch gin. Recently, KLM invited a famous Dutch designer to design porcelains, tableware, glassware and linens for the new World Business Class, hoping to show KLM's own characteristics in details.

日式料理的精緻延續到了機餐的製作上。全日空的餐食注重細節，擺盤講究，每款餐食皆根據季節時令選擇食材，無論日式、西式均為主廚特製。每年，全日空都會舉辦年度經濟艙餐食評選活動，乘客通過網絡平臺投票，獲勝菜品將會登上航班，成為最新餐食。此外，在東京羽田、成田機場出發航班的機艙內，還可享用到用天然酵母自製的麵包。
Japanese cuisine, western food and online voting
All Nippon Airways
Route: Chengdu - Tokyo
The delicacy of Japanese cuisines can also be found in airplanes. All Nippon Airways provides passengers with detail-oriented services, from food to tableware. Japanese and western meals are prepared by chefs. An annual online voting is held to invite Economy Class passengers to decide which dish to be served on-board. Moreover, homemade natural yeast bread is supplied on flights departing from Haneda and Narita airports.
