社會告訴我們的最大的謊言是什麼?

在這個問題被提出後，有很多人給了他們的回覆..

Big Lie Number 1: The USA is a democracy. Ben Franklin described it as a Republic, which is more accurate.
第一大謊言：美國是個民主國家。班傑明富蘭克林把她描述成一個共和國家，這是更準確的。

Big Lie Number 2: You will go to heaven when you die. Lies like this are perpetrated by rulers who don't want to share their power. From Egypt onward, rulers have loved to use corporate religions to control the masses.
第二大謊言：死後會進天堂。不想分享權力的統治者們喜歡利用這個謊言來控制大眾，從埃及時代就是這樣。
這個美國人的言論跟我們教科書上的很像呢，何愁天涯無知己。記住統治者叫ruler，跟尺子是一個詞。

這哥們認為，最大的謊言是life gets harder（生活會變得更難），在他碰到困難時，身邊人總是這樣安慰他：
'You think life is hard in puberty? You'll see what hard is when you're out of school.
你覺得青春期的生活很難？等你畢業以後你就知道什麼叫難了！

'You think your job is stressfull? You'll see what stressful is when you have a newborn. 
你覺得工作有壓力？等你有孩子以後你就知道什麼叫壓力了！
'You think you don't have enough energy taking care of a newborn? You'll see how life is running after a toddler.你覺得沒有精力照顧剛出生的孩子？等孩子會走路時你就知道什麼叫累了！
他說，
Every stage in my life, when something was hard for me, instead of just listening to what I have to say I got these sentences from everyone. They didn't help at all, I just felt weak for suffering when really my problem is just a joke compared to what's ahead. These sentences not only ruined the present as they did not help overcome that little thing that was hard in that stage of life, they also made me fear of what's ahead.
我生命的每一個階段，碰到困難時大家都會告訴我這些話而不是聽我說我想說的。這一點也沒有幫助，因為覺得跟未來的困難相比現在的困難就像是笑話一樣，這讓我感覺很虛弱，讓我害怕未來。

I had a hard time and depression as teenager, it DID get a lot better when I started working.  Even if she was very tiring as newborn with her colics. But also this got a lot better when she turned three months. I also don't get why teenagers are supposed to be a nightmare as my stepsons are easygoing and kind boys

If someone is going through a short hard episode ， just listen to them, tell them it will get better, because usually that's what happens in life. You get stronger, you get more experience and you get nearer in fulfilling your dreams.
如果有人正經歷短暫的困難，要告訴他們事情會變好，因為通常來說生活就是這樣。你會變得更強大，更有經驗，離夢想更近。

- You must have a degree to be successful.

This is only good advice if your passion is also marketable. 
只有當你的激情有市場價值的時候這條建議才是有用的。
