你如果到北京旅遊，必須做兩件事:一件是登長城，另一件是吃北京烤鴨。聞名遐邇的北京烤鴨曾僅限於宮廷，而現在北京數百家餐廳均有供應。北京烤鴨源於600年前的明代。來自全國各地的廚師被挑選出來到京城為皇帝做飯。人們認為在皇宮做飯是一種莫大的榮譽，只有廚藝出眾者才能獲得這份工作。事實上，正是這些宮廷廚師使北京烤鴨的烹飪藝術日臻完善。

If you travel to Beijing, there will be two things to be recommended: visiting the Great Wall and enjoying Peking Roasted Duck. The well-known Peking Roasted Duck used to be exclusive only for royals while it is served now in hundreds of restaurants in Beijing. It originated from the Ming Dynasty, 600 years ago, when cooks all over the country were selected for the Emperor in the capital, which was considered as a great honor, as only those good at cooking can get the job. In fact, it was these royal cooks that made culinary art of Peking Duck increasingly perfect.
