1.換序翻譯法
It is unwise to fight a big guy alone.
翻譯這句話時可以先翻譯to fight a big guy alone即獨自和一個大塊頭打鬥，再翻譯it is unwise是不明智的。
最後為:獨自和一個大塊頭打鬥是不明智的。
2.斷句翻譯法
The day when each of us has to face the crisis has come.
先翻譯the day has come即這天終於來了。再翻譯each of us has to face the crisis.我們每人不得不面對這場危機。把這一句話分為兩個小句子翻譯。
最後為:那天終於來了，我們每人被迫面對這場危機。
3.轉句翻譯法
After an hour's walk, they reached the station.
前面after an hour's walk是個短語，我們可以把它翻譯成一個句子，即走了一個小時的光景。
最後為:走了一個小時的光景，他們到達了車站。
4.合句翻譯法
She is kind to students. She also teaches them seriously and checks their homework carefully.
這兩句話主語都是she，翻譯時合為一句話。
最後為:她對學生們和藹可親，授業嚴謹，查業仔細。
5.縮句翻譯法
It was Oct.1st.2019. The people in the country had a national holiday.
前面it was...2019是一句話但我們可以把它翻譯成一個短語，即2019年十月一日。
最後為:2019年十月一日，全國人民歡度國慶。
6.轉態翻譯法
It was believed that the monster had been gone.
句子中it was believed是被動語態可以翻譯為主動語態即為人們當時都相信。
最後為:人們當時都相信怪物離開了。
7.正反翻譯法
It is not unusual for you to walk there in ten minutes.
it is not unusual...為雙重否定表肯定。翻譯過來為10分鐘內走過去很正常。
