剛剛送走元旦，就迎來了我們的農曆新年。眾所周知，「Happy New Year」裡的New Year指的是公曆新年。
那我們的農曆新年應該怎麼表達呢？
上學期間，我們使用最多的是spring festival春節來指代新年，但還有其他說法。
西方人翻譯中國某些特定的事物，有一個比較省事兒的原則，就是加個Chinese修飾，比如農曆新年是中國人的新年，那就是Chinese New Year。
農曆新年俗稱「春節、年節」，中國人過春節已有4000多年的歷史。在現代，人們把春節定於農曆正月初一，但一般至少要到正月十五（上元節）新年才算結束。
Celebrations traditionally run from the evening preceding the first day, to the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first calendar month.
在民間，傳統意義上的春節是指從臘月的臘祭或臘月二十三或二十四的祭灶，一直到正月十九。
除了Chinese New Year，還有Lunar New Year的說法，不過後者已經不是單純指中國的新年了。
我們都知道，一些其他亞洲國家也過春節，比如新加坡、印度尼西亞、韓國、日本等。
農曆新年是中國的重要節日，我們的慶祝方式也對鄰國的節慶產生了很深刻的影響，像日本、韓國、越南的新年慶祝都是基於中國的陰陽曆進行的。
