1. 租房子 ≠ rent a house
在英文中，house多指獨門獨院，帶車庫地下室的房子，在中國算是獨立別墅了。
所以rent a house 相當於租了個別墅。
但留學生到國外租房子，很少會租個別墅，大多是租個單間或公寓，所以應該說：
rent a room 租個單間
rent an apartment 租個公寓
例句：
Lily rented a new studio apartment in this housing estate. It's at No.808, Unit 8, Building 8.
莉莉在這個小區租了個單間，在8棟8單元808室。
They refused to rent an apartment to an unmarried couple.
他們拒絕把公寓租給未婚情侶。

2. 買房子 ≠ buy a house
與上述一樣，buy a house代表「買個別墅」。
而我們常說的購房，更多指的是購買單元房/單元樓，用英文應該這麼說：
buy a flat 買公寓（英式）
buy an apartment 買公寓（美式）
例句：
He just made a down payment on his new apartment.
他剛剛付了新房子的首付。

3. 房價貴 ≠ housing price is expensive
對於價格來說，只是一個數字，沒有「貴」和「便宜」之分，在英語表達中，表示某樣東西很貴或很便宜，是用「high（高）」和「low（低）」來表達的。
房價貴的英文可以說是housing price is high。
例句：
The housing price is too high in recent years.
近幾年的房價真的太高了。
Although the price of an LV bag is high, the quality is good.
雖然LV的包包價格特別高，但質量真的好。
4. 房地產調控≠ housing control
一般來說，「房地產」可以用housing、real estate、property來表示，但control一詞並不能表示調控之意。調控，可以用regulate and control來表示，但如果太難記，也可以用「cool down、regulate、curb」來表示調控、抑制的意思。外國媒體對於房產方面有很多相關報導，大家可以多留意積累。
例句：
1. The new move came after the government stepped up efforts to cool down the country's overheating property market.
這一新舉措是在政府加緊努力冷卻過熱的房地產市場之後做出的。
2. The government firmly set to continue regulating the real estate market.
政府堅定地將繼續調控房地產市場。
3. The mainland's latest measures aimed at curbing housing prices expanded to include the nation's smaller cities.
中國大陸最近出臺的旨在抑制房價的措施擴大到中國的小城市。
5. 搬家 ≠ move house/home
move house或者move home給外國人的感覺是，房子裝上輪子，挪來挪去，而這樣的房子叫moving house。
「搬家」這個動作，外國人會直接說move。
例句：
I need to move.
我得搬家（挪挪地方了）。
什麼時候會加house呢？
① 強調「搬進新房子」
例句：
I moved into the new house last week.
我上周搬進了新房子。
② 強調「搬出舊房子」
例句：
I moved out of my old house.
我從以前的房子裡搬出來了。
(根據實際情況，可把house 換成apartment或room)
6. first floor 不一定是"一樓"
在英式英語國家，比如英國、澳大利亞、紐西蘭等，first floor表示：二樓！！
因為，在英國人看來，建築第一層是跟地面ground齊平的，所以一層也是"地面層"，用Ground Floor來表達。然後順接著，first floor就表示二樓。
而在美式英語國家，比如美國、菲律賓等，first floor表示一樓（和我們的說法一樣~）
所以同樣一句話：
There is a cafe on the first floor of the building.
英國人理解：大廈的咖啡廳在二樓。
美國人理解：大廈的咖啡廳在一樓。

B1 ：1st Basement ：負一層
L ： lobby 大廳 ：也是一樓的意思
