One night Bear looked up at the sky and thought, wouldn't it be nice to give the moon a birthday present.
一天晚上，小熊邊抬頭望著天空，心裡想，
送一個生日禮物給月亮不是挺好的嘛！
But Bear didnt know when th
e moon's birthday was, or what to get him.
可是小熊不知道月亮的生日是哪天，也不知道該送什麼才好。
So he climbed a tall tree to have a little chat with the moon.
於是他爬上一棵高高的樹，去和月亮說話。
"Hello, Moon!" he shouted.
「你好，月亮！」 他大叫著。
But the moon did not reply.
月亮沒有回答。
Maybe I am too far away, thought Bear, and the moon cannot hear me.
小熊想，也許我離得太遠了，月亮聽不到。
So Bear paddled across the river...
於是他划船渡過小河...
and hiked through the forest...
走過森林...
into the mountains.
爬到高山上。
Now I am much closer to the moon,
現在我離月亮近多了，
thought Bear,
小熊心裡想
and again he shouted:"Hello!"
他又開始大叫：「嗨！」
This time his own voice echoed off one of the other mountains:"Hello!"
這次從另一個山頭傳來了回升：「嗨！」
Bear got very excited.
小熊高興極了。
Oh, boy! he thought.
他想：哇！太棒了！
I'm talking to the moon.
我在和月亮說話呢。
"Tell me," asked Bear,
「告訴我，」小熊問
"When is your birthday?"
你的生日是哪天？」
"Tell me, when is your birthday?" replied the moon.
「告訴我，你的生日是哪天？」月亮回答道。
