下面是加減乘除四項運算的注意事項：
1. 數字在運算中當成單數看待，不管是1還是1000，搭配動詞都是用三單（第三人稱單數）；
2. 在數字的表達中，十位數和個位數之間加連字符」-」；62:sixty-two;
3. 百位數和十位數之間加」and」；

4. 表示確切的數字時，百hundred，千thousand，百萬million，十億billion都使用單數:
15,350,000: fifteen million three hundred and fifty thousand;
5. 如果表示「成百上千」，則百和千以複數的形式出現：
