Dr. Susanna Larsson of the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden and her team found that women between the ages of 49 and 83 who consumed more than 45 grams of chocolate a week showed a 20 percent reduction in risk. For men aged 49 to 75 who ate more than 63 grams per week, there was a 17 percent decrease.
