記者向專家了解到，胎盤在中醫上確實可以入藥，但如果胎盤主人患有B肝、愛滋病等血液傳染病，正常人食用後也可能感染。

Residents of Pudong New Area complained to Shanghai Television Station that they uncovered an illegal processing and trafficking center for human placenta capsules. The traffickers buy fresh placentas from women right after delivering their babies, then process the placentas by washing, drying, and smashing them. They sell for 1,000 yuan per 120 capsules.
Experts told media that although placenta can be made into medicine, it can also spread Hepatitis B, AIDS and blood diseases to healthy people if the mothers had such diseases.
