行走臺灣，「吃」一定是貫穿你整個旅程的重頭戲。舌尖小吃往往是人們心頭的大愛。島上的人們，仿佛他們人生最重要的事兒就是「吃好的」以及「好好地吃」。飽餐一頓之後，呼朋引伴地扎進最近的ktv,幹掉幾杯威士忌之後，開始豪爽的麥霸之旅。一定要會唱「周杰倫」，一定要會唱《小情歌》，一定要唱出分手的痴纏，唱得感天動地，留下兩行熱淚。在這裡，痛快地吃，痛快地唱，才是生活的滋味。
Taiwanese eating is always fun. Small eats, and a lot of them, are the big thing in Taiwan. The goal here is eat often and eat well. Then head over to nearest KTV, down some whisky, and sing Jay Chou! 周杰倫 Make sure pick very sad song about love break-up to cry your eyes out! All you need is food and singing.
夜市是臺灣小吃大本營。光臺北就有不下20條美食街。我最愛的覓食之處有：士林夜市、饒河夜市、基隆夜市、通化夜市、寧夏夜市。
Taiwan is the best place for some easy cheap eats in the night market. Taipei alone has around 20 streets dedicated to snacking. My Favourite Night Markets in Taipei: Raohe Night Market, Shilin Night Market, Keelung Night Market, Tonghua Night Market, Ningxia Night Market.
臺灣小吃大多以福建風味和日本風味為主。如果你非要對「什麼是本島美食之王」這樣的問題一爭高下，那真的可能朋友都沒得做哦。吃，是天大的事兒，事關尊嚴，臺灣的吃貨那都是相當滴有原則！
The island's food is a mix of the cuisine of the Fujian communities, along with Japanese cooking. Arguments about the best food on Taiwan risk ruining relationships and lifelong friendships. Food: it's serious, it's respected, it's all excellent in Taiwan.
1. Scallion Pancake 蔥抓餅
薄脆的餅皮被慢慢地層層撕扯開來，濃鬱的蔥香隨之溢出，單聞味道就要流口水了。切記狼吞虎咽哦，要一小口一小口來，熱氣騰騰的時候最好吃，心太急可能會被熱氣燙口，何況手抓餅的特色就是有嚼勁，小口才能慢慢嚼，越吃越香。
There are few things more appetizing than the sight of a flaky scallion pancake being slowly torn apart. Eat in a few bites to ensure it stays steaming hot and chewy.
2. Oyster Omelette 蚵仔煎
蚵仔煎真的是最具臺灣風土的美食了。所謂靠山吃山靠水吃水，作為寶島，海裡的美味自然是原汁原味的。
Here's a snack that really showcases the fat of the land in Taiwan. You've got something from the sea and something from the soil.
3. Braised Pork Rice - LuRou Fan 滷肉飯
美味量又足！五花肉切成末肉丁，用獨家的醬汁細煮慢熬。老闆慷慨地挖上兩大勺肉，蓋在香噴噴的米飯上，再淋上一大勺肉汁。滿滿一碗閃著幸福的油光，雖然罪惡，但是就是讓你無法拒絕啊。
A good bowl of lurou fan comprises finely chopped, not quite minced, pork belly, slow-cooked in aromatic soy sauce with five spices. There should be some fattiness, in which lies the magic.
4. Beef Noodles - Niu Rou Mian 牛肉麵
相信我，在臺灣隨便找一家飯店的牛肉麵都超級好吃！這是真的！
it's almost impossible to have a bad beef noodle experience in Taiwan.
5. Braised Pork Bun - Guan Bao 割包
你就把它當作臺灣style的漢堡包吧。
It's a hamburger, Taiwan-style.
6. Pepper Cakes 胡椒餅
饒河夜市的招牌美食。咬開香脆的表皮，裡面是大塊鮮嫩多汁的豬肉，用的黑胡椒精心醃製過，香氣十足。只吃一隻絕對不夠！
A must-try at Rao He night market, pepper cakes are crispy pastry pockets filled with juicy pork that's infused with the aromatic bite of black pepper.
7. Stinky Tofu 臭豆腐
哈哈哈，和世界上很多地方一樣，人們對臭豆腐態度真是粉絲愛死，路人嫌死。臺灣也不例外啦！
This could be the world's premier love-it-or-hate-it snack and Taiwan does it just right.
8. Din Tai Fung Dumpling House 鼎泰豐小籠包
雖然魔都才是小籠之鄉，不過還是有人認為臺灣的才是完美的。
Xiaolongbao may be a Shanghainese delicacy, but some argue the Taiwanese perfected it.
9. Fried Chicken Cutlets 雞排
見過比臉還要大的多的多的雞排嗎？快來臺灣吧！我特別喜歡它那層香脆的表皮。吃前拿著雞排自拍一下，嗯，顯臉小！
The enormous slice of meat, as big as your face, is very moist with a crispy crust.
10. Shaved ice mountain 刨冰山
溼熱的酷暑裡，有什麼能讓我們精神振奮呢？當然是，吃冰啦！
這可不是什麼普通的冰，綿密如雪的冰沙堆積成山狀。冰山上鋪著超多新鮮的熱帶水果果肉，尤其是厚厚的芒果片，用果汁和煉乳清爽調味。這樣的夏天太美好了！
One good thing about the hot, humid and stormy Taiwan summers is the excuse to eat shaved ice mountain. A pile of shaved ice is heaped with fresh fruit and flavorings, such as mango pieces, juice and sweet condensed milk. The result is super-appealing just by looks alone.
11. Mochi 麻糬
糯糯的皮子軟得像棉花糖一樣。裡面注滿了大家最愛的各種甜的鹹的餡料。口味多得選不過來，每種都好好好吃。
These glutinous rice balls are soft as marshmallows and filled with sweet or salty things.
12. Oyster vermicelli 蚵仔麵線
濃鬱鮮美老湯底，分量十足的肥美牡蠣，口感筋道的米線吸收了海洋的精華。這碗蚵仔麵線符合一碗完美面線的所有要求。我真的把它吃得湯汁都不剩！
A bowl of great oyster vermicelli should have a thick, flavorful soup base while the thin rice noodles and oysters retain their distinct texture.
13. Pig’s blood rice pudding 豬血米糕
這是一種用豬血和糯米製作的當地小吃。用竹籤戳起，拿在手上邊走邊吃，就和棒棒糖一樣。
This mix of pig's blood and sticky rice is stuck on the end of a stick like a lollipop.
14. Bubble Tea 珍珠奶茶
聽說有個人因為太無趣而發明了這種佔領世界的有趣飲料！既然來到了它的故鄉，一定要試試原版的味道啦！
It's said this unusual drink was invented out of boredom. Try them all!
15. Pineapple Cake 鳳梨酥
臺灣手信第一名的美食。奶香濃鬱的酥皮裡是用鳳梨乾做成的清香餡料。這種淡黃色方塊的小點心迷倒了每一位來臺的遊客哦！
This iconic Taiwanese pastry -- mini-pies filled with dried pineapple -- is one of Taiwan's best food souvenirs.
16. Taiwanese Egg Cakes 雞蛋糕
鬆軟、輕盈、空氣感十足的蛋糕。顏值和口味我都要給滿分！
Soft, airy, light sponge cake that not only taste good but look good!
17. Tian Bu La 甜不辣
又一小島特色美食。用魚茸做成造型，放入油鍋炸定型。最後用高湯煮熟。鮮中帶甜，地道的臺灣口味。
It’s a fish paste that's been molded into various shapes and sizes, deep-fried, then boiled.
18. Giant Meat Dumplings - Ba Wan 彰化肉圓
隔著半透明的外皮，你已經可以看到裡面巨大的肉丸。肉圓可以說非常「巨型」了，皮咬起來Q彈有趣，整顆大肉丸會讓肉食動物得到前所未有的滿足，這就是吃肉的幸福啊。

19. Fish ball soup 魚丸湯
海鮮還能變出什麼樣的美味呢？當然是把它們揉成球啦！沒錯，我說的是魚丸！

粄條源自福建，是一種傳統美味。在臺灣最地道的粄條在高雄哦！

21. Fried chicken 鹽酥雞
鹽酥雞那麼有名，你怎麼可以錯過呢？因為臺灣的才是正宗的呢！

22. Goose 鵝肉
農場散養的大鵝，從鵝肉到鵝皮到鵝血都是寶，都能變著法子做成讓你驚嘆的美食。

23. Taiwanese sausage with sticky rice 大腸包小腸
臺灣人有多愛香腸？每個食鋪都可以看到大腸包小腸。這種小吃是夜市中的流行巨星，一點也不誇張，經久不衰從未過氣！

24. Taiwanese breakfast 燒餅夾油條
上海的四大金剛到了臺灣簡化成了三劍客。傳統的芝麻燒餅夾上油條，配上一杯豆奶。吃上一組，絕對能讓你半天都不覺得餓。

25. Taiwanese Hot Pot 火鍋
有華人之處就有火鍋，而且各地還非常不同。臺灣的火鍋更玲瓏精緻，湯頭乳白或者鮮辣。通常來講，臺灣的火鍋會更清爽健康一些。

26. Taro Desserts 芋圓
萌翻小圓球軟糯香甜，嚼勁十足，還不粘牙，配上沙糯清甜的芋頭球。這種甜品天生就是大眾情人。
