夏去秋來，天氣也隨之頻繁的變化，很多人一不小心就容易生病，不舒服。那麼生病和不舒服用英語來怎麼表達呢？
under the weather
under the weather——字面上的意思是在...天氣下，但是你要是只按字面上的意思理解的話就會鬧出大笑話了。18世紀中期，人們出海遇到暴風雨天氣，很多人就會暈船生病，所以under the weather就是不舒服的意思啦。
be / feel under the weather 生病；覺得不舒服
Don't disturb her. She's feeling under the weather these days. 別去打擾她。她這幾天身體有點不舒服。
I'd been feeling a bit under the weather for a couple of weeks.我已經生病好幾周了。If you are under the weather, you are feeling ill.如果說某人under the weather，是說ta生病了。I'm feeling a bit under the weather - I think I'm getting a cold.我覺得有些不舒服，應該是感冒了。
Break out in a cold sweet：冒冷汗
Cold sweet 表示「冷汗」，通常是在我們感到非常緊張或者驚慌時會有的生理現象。另外，Break out是指事件或者災難突然發生，這個習語用在身體方面，就是指汗突然布滿全身。
A：Where have you been? I』ve been worried sick about you !你去哪裡了？我擔心死你了B：I had a little accident and was rushed to the hospital.我出了一點小意外，被緊急送往醫院了。A：Are you OK ? take a turn for the worse：突然惡化
My headache is taking a turn for the worse.（因為看了更多的書嗎？）我的頭疼正在惡化。
black and blue：青腫的，瘀血的
His arm was black and blue.他胳膊青一塊紫一塊的。
look / feel like death warmed up：看起來／感覺病得不輕
He shouldn't be working when he's so ill - he looks like death warmed up!他那麼不舒服就不應該上班——看樣子他病得不輕！
pop your clogs：死，死亡
I think I'll leave all my money to charity when I pop my clogs.我覺得我死之後會把錢捐給慈善機構。
都說壓力太大了，人容易生病。
She was suffering from stress and generally under the weather.她壓力很大，總是覺得身體不舒服。She said she was under the weather and couldn't make it to the meeting.她說她身體不舒服，不能去參加會議。She was off work for two weeks and she still seems a bit under the weather.她兩周沒上班了，但是還是覺得不舒服。I noticed that the cat was looking a little under the weather.我注意到這隻貓看上去有點病懨懨的。
此外，under the weather還可以表示drunk， intoxicated意思是「喝醉的」。
Do you remember last night at the bar at all? You were really under the weather!你忘了昨晚在酒吧你喝得爛醉了嗎？Daddy's had a few beers and is under the weather again.爸爸喝了些啤酒，又醉了。
由「喝醉」這個意思，可以引申出另外一個意思——suffering from a hangover，表示宿醉以後，還沒緩過神來。
We were out celebrating John's birthday last night—that's why we're all under the weather today.我們昨晚出去慶祝John的生日了，所以今天我們都還沒緩過神來。
