導讀：在中文口語中，很多常用說法都跟人的身體部位有關，比如披頭散髮、七嘴八舌、胸有成竹、手忙腳亂等等。其實在英語中也有很多關於身體部位的習語，有一些特別有意思。「head」是重要的人體部位之一，今天AAE（美國英文學院）跟大家分享一些與人的頭部（head）有關的一些英語俚語：
1、big-headed/bigheaded
千萬別直譯為「大頭」，這個美國常用俚語在口語中表示自大/傲慢。英語俚語裡跟它意思相同或相近的短語還有a big head（也作a swollen head），在有些場景下，它的中文釋義也有自負、傲慢或自我膨脹的意思。
例句：
He is so big headed that everyone in the village keeps at a distance with him.
他是如此驕傲自大，以致於村裡的每個人都對他敬而遠之。
He really has a swollen head. He always thinks he is right.

2、soft in the head
soft是柔軟、溫和的意思，部分英語初學者可能會把soft in the head理解為「放鬆心情、頭腦輕鬆」，事實上這個美國俚語表達的中文意思是「愚蠢的，弱智的」。

3、use one's head
字面意思是「用你的腦子（思考）」，這個美國俚語用作動詞的引申義為好好想想。

4、over one's head

I tried to take in what he was saying about nuclear fusion, but most of it went over my head.

5、talk one's head off

6、stand on one’s head
字面意思是「站在某人頭上」，你可能會把它理解為「欺負/打擊某人」，然而這個美國人常用的俚語一般解釋為：1. 字面解釋是：倒立；2.含義為：竭力工作去給別人一個好印象。
例句：
I』ve never able to stand on my head for more than a couple second.

Do you want me to lend the money to a guy like him? Have you got rocks in your head?

8、bury your head in the sand
字面意思是把你的頭埋在沙子中，引申義為逃避現實。
據說，駝鳥遇到危險時就會把頭鑽到沙子裡去，認為這樣就能避開危險。 hide / bury one’s head in the sand 是鴕鳥的一個習慣動作。把頭埋在沙堆裡，這樣，它就可以無視周圍發生的一切了。不僅是鴕鳥，有些人有時也會這樣做。他們這樣做是為了自欺欺人，拒絕承認他們不想接受的客觀現實。自然，這是一種不明智的做法！
bury one's head in the sand常用來指「不正視現實」或「逃避現實」的「駝鳥政策」。
例句：
Cheer up. It's no use burying your head in the sand.
振作起來，在困難面前採取駝鳥政策是沒用的。
You can bury your head in the sand if you want to, but Bruce is stealing, and sooner or later we’re going to have to deal with it.

9、have your head in the clouds
其字面意思是「腦袋在雲裡/把腦袋伸到雲彩裡」，喻指 「想法飄飄然/天馬行空/熱衷於幻想而脫離實際/做美夢」，其反義詞就是：have one's feet on the ground; be down-to-earth（腳踏實地）。
此外，have your head in the clouds，這個短語，有時也指「心不在焉/開小差」。
例句：
A good artist should have his head in the clouds sometimes, but his feet should always be on the ground.
一位好的藝術家有時應富於幻想, 但始終要腳踏實地。
The report he wrote was very optimistic; I think he has his head in the clouds.
