英語中，divide 和 separate 都有「分開」的意思，但是這兩個詞的具體含義不盡相同，今天一起學習一下。
1. divide: 是指把一個整體分成若干部分。

2. separate: 是指從整體中分離出來。
例句3：The teacher separated the girls from the students.
老師把女生從學生中分離開來。

Separate 還可以作形容詞。
