all是英文中的一個高頻詞，與all有關的短語也有很多，比如說下面這些我們經常用到的短語。
1、above all（else）
意思是：首先；尤其是；最重要的是
例句：Above all I must be with you.
最重要的是一定要和你在一起。
2、after all
意思是：畢竟，終究，還是
例句：After all, we are human.
畢竟我們都是凡人。
3、at all
at all 的用法就有很多了，如：
（1）用於否定句，則表示「一點也不；完全不」等
例句：He wasn't at all tired.
他一點都不累。
（2）用於條件句，表示「真的，確實」
例句：If you do it at all，do it well.
如果你真的幹，就把他幹好。
（3）用於肯定句及問句，起強調作用，意思是「到底，真的，竟然」
例句：Do you go there at all！
你竟然要去那裡！
4、all but
意思是：幾乎，差不多，差一點
例句：His theory is all but correct.
他的理論幾乎是正確的。
5、in all/all tlod
兩者意思相同，都是「總共，合計」
例句：In all, we stayed at the park for about twelve hours.
我們總共在公園裡呆了大約十二個小時。
His crew was reduced to twenty-four all told.
他的船員減少到總共二十四人。
6、all in all
意思是：總而言之，總得來說，頭等重要的東西
例句：All in all, young people should be forward-looking rather than the other way round.
總而言之，青年人應該向前看而不是對過去一直留戀。

7、all in
這個可不要簡單的理解成「都在，都在裡面」，因為其除了「全部包含的」的意思外，還可指「疲憊不堪，疲憊到極點」（非正式）。
例句:Have you eaten? You look all in!
你吃飯了嗎？你看上去累壞了！
