學英語的時候，總是很碰到很多有意思的習語。如果不查字典的話，有時候望文生義會弄出很多笑話來，今天小墨不幸又「中招」了。前些天去玩密室逃脫遊戲的時候，旁邊的小姐姐提醒我要「Play it by ear」，當時我還想為什麼要用耳朵玩？不應該考驗智商的時候麼？只能懵懵地回答了句「OK」。遊戲結束後一查，果然是我理解錯了。相信大家有時候也會有這類的體驗，所以在平時多多積累一些地道的習語說法，是非常有用的。今天小墨就來說一些關於「ear」相關的習語。
play it by ear 隨機應變
Facing his enemy, he had to play it by ear.
面隊敵人，他只有隨機應變了。

be up to your ears in sth
深陷於；埋頭於；忙於
We're up to our ears in work.
我們工作忙得不可開交。
go in one ear and out the other
(informal) 一隻耳朵進另一隻耳朵出；當作耳邊風
這句話和我們中文原本的意思和相近。
Everything I tell them just goes in one ear and out the other.
我無論對他們說什麼都只被當作耳邊風。

have the ear of sb
在某人那裡說得上話；使某人聽得進去
She is very popular because she had the ear of the general manager.
她非常受歡迎，因為她在總經理那裡說得上話。
shut/close your ears to sth
（對…）充耳不聞，置之不理
He decided to shut her ears to all the rumors.
他拿定主意對所有的謠言置之不理。
not believe your ears/eyes
(informal) 不相信自己的耳朵（或眼睛）；對所聞（或所見）非常吃驚
I couldn't believe my eyes when she walked in.
她走進來時我簡直不相信自己的眼睛。

不被理睬；不被注意；被置若罔聞
