香港中文大學(深圳)於2018年11月14日宣布正式成立生命與健康科學學院(School of Life and Health Sciences),是港中大(深圳)繼經管學院、理工學院、人文社科學院後的第四所具有從本科至博士學位培養體系的學院。
生命與健康科學學院將專注於生命與健康科學的教學、科研與創新,致力於成為國際知名的生命和健康科學學院,為學生提供高瞻遠矚的教育機會,開展具有全球影響力的跨學科研究,為生命和健康科學的專業發展、社群發展提供卓越服務。學院課程設置將整合生命科學、健康科學、科研與生物工程設計等,旨在以嚴謹多元的教育模式,培養出一批該領域的領導者和創新者。
生命與健康科學學院秉承香港中文大學的優良學術傳統和嚴謹治學精神,立足三個「諾獎研究院」的科研基礎,瞄準學科前沿和長遠目標,開設本科、碩士和博士學位課程。港中大教務會負責審批和監督學位課程,指導及管理授課和教學有關事宜,監管港中大(深圳)學位資格認證的水準。香港中文大學(深圳)畢業生獲頒香港中文大學學位證書。生命與健康科學學院於2019年度開始招收生物信息學本科生入學,並將在2020年起先後開設藥學科學及生物醫學科學本科專業方向。
The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen has officially announced the establishment of the School of Life and Health Sciences on the November 14th 2018, which is the fourth college of the CUHK-Shenzhen after the School of Management and Economics (SME), the School of Sciences and Engineering (SSE), and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS), with educational programs for baccalaureate to doctoral degrees.
The School of Life and Health Sciences (LHS) at CUHK-Shenzhen is to pursue excellence in learning, discovery and innovation in life and health sciences for the benefit of human health and well-being. LHS strives to be an internationally recognized life and health science school that offers in spiring educational opportunities for students, conducts interdisciplinary research with global impact, and serves the life and health science profession and the community with distinction. The school's curriculum will integrate life sciences, health sciences, scientific research and bioengineering design, aiming to cultivate a group of leaders and innovators in this field through a rigorous and diversified education model.
The School of Life and Health Sciences, adhering to the excellent academic traditions and rigorous academic spirit of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, is based on the research foundations of the three Nobel Prize Research Institutes, aiming at the frontiers and long-term goals of the disciplines, and offering undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees. The Academic Board of the Chinese University of Hong Kong is responsible for approving and supervision of degree programs, guiding and managing teaching and teaching-related matters, and supervising the level of the CUHK-Shenzhen degree qualification. The CUHK-Shenzhen graduates are awarded degree certificates from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The School of Life and Health Sciences will begin to enroll undergraduate students in Bioinformatics major in 2019 and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biomedical Sciences in 2020.
