要想用《新概念英語》第三冊通過「英語閱讀」訓練和提高英語，我們首先就要界定清楚：什麼是「英語閱讀」？

我們對「英語閱讀」的界定是：
網際網路+時代，英語閱讀的目的是為了給你一次「說」英語、「用」英語的機會和能力鍛鍊，而不是為了讓你把課文「準確」翻譯成中文，也就是「英譯漢」式「英語閱讀」，是「英譯英」式「英語閱讀」。把握住這個「英語閱讀」目標，其它任何「在理」的閱讀理由都可以徹底放棄。
「用」英語、「說」英語的機會和能力鍛鍊，「英語閱讀」唯一關注的目標。

Pumas are large, cat-like animals which are found in America.

1) Lesson1 A puma at large
1. Okay.I got you.If we say someone or something,especially like a criminal or a dangerous animal is at large,we mean they are at liberty,they have escaped,or run away,and they're not yet captured.
2. So,we can say A person who is at large is not in prison.A puma at large means a puma had run away from control.
「英語閱讀」要的是這個英語「說」和「用」以及「記」的能力，不是把英語「精確翻譯」成中文的能力。
2) Pumas are large, cat-like animals which are found in America.
1.Okay.I got you.What does puma mean?
A puma is a wild animal.It looks like a cat and is very big,very huge.
不能「說」這樣的英語怎麼能叫「讀」英語？
1.If an animal or a plant is found in somewhere,we can also say they live there.
2.So,we can say Kangaroos are found in Australia only=They live there.
3.Pandas are found only in China,meaning Pandas live in China only.
只有讀得「滿腦子都是英語」的閱讀才是有效「英語閱讀」，我們需要這個肌肉記憶的訓練過程。
