韓國電影《寄生蟲》包攬最佳影片、最佳導演、最佳國際影片、最佳原創劇本四項重磅大獎，成本屆奧斯卡最大贏家。
《寄生蟲》創造了韓國電影乃至亞洲電影的歷史，它是奧斯卡92年歷史中，首部獲得最佳影片的非英語片。

"I never thought I would win," Bong said while accepting his best director Oscar. Paying tribute to his four fellow director nominees he said, "I would like to get a Texas chainsaw and split the Oscar into five and share it all with you."
「我從沒想過會拿下大獎，」奉俊昊在獲頒奧斯卡最佳導演時說。他向一同提名的其他四位導演致敬，「我真想拿個德克薩斯電鋸，把奧斯卡獎鋸成五份，和你們一起分享。」
「I feel like a very opportune moment in history is happening right now,」 Kwak Sin Ae, who produced 「Parasite」 with Bong, said as she accepted the Oscar for best picture.
