用英語「懂」英語：To flatter someone 阿諛奉承他人
我們學習英語，或者接受英語訓練的本質就是最終獲得「見英語想英語」，用英語就能「懂」英語的能力，而不是每一個英語句子都能翻譯成中文「才能懂」的能力。
能用英語「懂」英語並有聲表達出來，就是我們的「英語口語」。
從這個能力訓練的角度看，英語He got this important position by alway flattering his boss就不是中文「他靠拍馬屁阿諛奉承才得到這個重要職位」。
那麼，He always flatters beautiful girls是什麼意思？
下面就是我們用英語「懂」英語的能力了。
1.If you flatter someone,you try to seek/win the favor of them in your own interest.
2.If you flatter someone,we can also say you please others in your own intetest,or for your onw benefit.
3. If you flatter others ，it means you butter them up.You're an ass-kissier.You brown nose them,or you're such a brown-noser.
4.To flatter someone means To curry favor with someone,or to keep someone sweet.
我們越是「脫離」中文思維思考flatter someone「是什麼」，越能鍛鍊我們「英語思維」能力，越是能讓我們辛辛苦苦為之付出艱辛的英語成為一門獨立於中文之外的語言。
至於中文的「拍馬屁」，「阿諛奉承」，「跪舔某人」，「馬屁精」都是一個意思，就沒必要一一對應到某個英語句子裡了，熟練運用各種英語都能表達其中一個。
學英語就怕我們學不到「見英語說英語」的能力。
