1）「You have bottle」可不是「你有瓶子」！
好奇怪！英國人說「you have bottle」卻不是「你有個瓶子」！那是有啥呢？
英語解釋：In British English，the word 「bottle」 means courage and bravery。
也就是說，在英式英語中bottle經常用於表示勇氣，所以You have bottle表示你真的很有勇氣。
英語例句：
① Do you have the bottle to do the bungee-jumping？
你有勇氣去蹦極嗎？
* 你要是早個10年問我，我敢！現在，呵呵噠。
② I know it takes a lot of bottle to overcome the fear, but you have to man up! Never lose your bottle.
我知道克服恐懼需要很大的勇氣，但你必須像個男子漢一樣雄起！永遠不要失去勇氣。
* Man up 翻譯成四川話「雄起」！簡直不要太合適哦！
2）「Banana skin」不要單純理解為「香蕉皮」
Banana skin可以是香蕉皮，但也有別的意思，比如Banana skin means an embarrassing mistake made by someone in a public position。
可以特別指代使人當眾出醜出洋相的事物，常用於politicians這類人物。
英語例句：
① Are you looking for Trrrrump’s banana skin?
你是在找Trrrrump的洋相嗎？
3）「Do a runner」不是讓你做個「長跑運動員」
Runner常表示跑步的人，但是do a runner表示：You run away or leave without paying or after doing something wrong.
也就是沒付錢或做完錯事之後，馬上逃走溜掉的這種行為。
比如說吃霸王餐的人，或者當街搶了包就跑的這種人，都可以叫do a runner。
英語例句：
① Do you know that the accountant did a runner with all the money？
你知道那個會計把所有的錢都帶跑了嗎？
② - Maria left the restaurant without paying!
- Really? OMG, she did a runner? I thought she was rich!
- 瑪麗亞沒付錢就離開了餐館！
- 真的嗎？天哪，吃霸王餐？我還以為她很有錢呢！
