《大氣科學進展》（Advances in Atmospheric Sciences，AAS）自2013年入選中國科協、中國科學院等單位發起的「中國科技期刊國際影響力提升計劃」以來，積極紮實地開展期刊的國際推廣工作，期刊的網絡點擊量、下載量（圖1）和總引用次數（圖2）一直穩步提升。

《大氣科學進展》編輯部決定表彰在SpringerLink下載和ISI引用均表現優異的、發表於2013年的四篇文章，並與Springer合作，這四篇文章將免費下載至5月21日。

同時，《大氣科學進展》認識到審稿人和編委的義務勞動是期刊出版最珍貴的資源，公正、及時的同行評議確保了文章發表的質量和時效，對科學傳播具有重要意義。AAS於2014年購入ScholarOne新開發的產品：Reviewer Locator（審稿人定位）。Reviewer Locator 挖掘SCI資料庫的強大資源，通過「指紋」跟蹤及一系列複雜算法，能為每篇送審文章建議20—30名潛在審稿人供責編選擇，使得AAS的編委不但能比以往更快、更準確地尋找到最合適的審稿人，而且由於推薦的審稿人研究領域相關性高，審稿人感興趣並同意審稿的機率加大，有效縮短了審稿周期。
《大氣科學進展》編輯部決定對2014年度優秀審稿人進行表彰。通過編委推薦、編輯部數據統計以及主編審核，評選出年度優秀審稿人（Editor’s Award）如下：
