A new model of international relations
2015年9月28日，在世界反法西斯戰爭勝利和聯合國成立70周年之際，中國國家主席習近平首次登上聯合國講臺，向世界清晰闡述了以合作共贏為核心的新型國際關係理念（building a new model of international relations based on cooperation for the benefit of all）。他提出，"我們要繼承和弘揚聯合國憲章的宗旨和原則（renew our commitment to the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations），構建以合作共贏為核心的新型國際關係，打造人類命運共同體（create a community of shared future for mankind）。
"建立平等相待、互商互諒的夥伴關係（partnerships based on equality, consultation and mutual understanding），營造公道正義、共建共享的安全格局（to create a security architecture that is fair, just, and shared by all），謀求開放創新、包容互惠的發展前景（pursue open, innovative, and inclusive development that benefits all），促進和而不同、兼收並蓄的文明交流，構築尊崇自然、綠色發展的生態體系（increase inter-civilizational exchanges that promote harmony in diversity and are mutually enriching, and to encourage ecological conservation and protection, putting Mother Nature and green development first），上述"五位一體"，構成了新型國際關係的主要體系。構建新型國際關係，是中國領導人對攸關人類前途命運的諸如和平與發展等關鍵問題給出的中國答案。以合作共贏為核心，蘊含著對實現世界和平、發展、公平、正義、民主、自由等全人類共同價值的關懷，亦是對聯合國崇高目標的深刻思考。
