have plans 「有安排，有事」
"I'm sorry," she said. "I have plans for tomorrow."

tied-up 很忙；脫不開身
I can't see you tomorrow. I'll be tied-up all day.
我明天不能去見你，明天一整天我都很忙。
「I have a lot of things to do.」另外有一個更口語化的表達：
"have（get） one's hands full "
指非常忙，手頭有很多事要做
例：
He can't help today because he has his hands full.
他今天幫不了忙，因為他手頭有很多事要做。
Could I talk to you later? I've got my hands full right now.
我能晚點跟你說嗎？我現在手頭有好多事兒。
別人對你說 "I have a thing for you"
不要以為是「有東西要給你」
而是他/她對你「有好感；有點意思」
例：
He has a thing for you.
他對你有點意思。
They have a thing for each other.
他們之間有點感覺。
"It's my thing" 的意思是：
「我擅長的；我的興趣愛好」。
例：
Painting is my thing.
畫畫是我擅長的事。
That's his/her thing.
那是他/她的強項
"a whole thing" 不是「一整件事情」
而是指容易引起爭議的「複雜的情況」
例：
A: I forgot to invite Penny to the wedding, and now it's a whole thing.
我忘記邀請Penny來參加婚禮了，現在情況變得複雜了起來。
B: Oh man. Is she mad at you?
