在英語學習中，一定不要小看了定冠詞"the"的作用，有"the"沒"the"意思可能大不相同。

in person VS. in the person
in person 本人
例如：You must attend this meeting in person.
你必須親自參加這個會議。
in the person 代表
例如：The help arrived in the person of my brother, who brought beer and food.
他替我哥哥來幫忙了，還帶了啤酒和吃的。
in front of VS. in the front of
in front of 在……外部的前面，後者表示「在……內部的前面」
☑ There are many trees in front of the classroom.
教室的前面有很多棵樹。(樹在教室外)
in the front of 「在……內部的前面」
例如：There is a big desk in the front of the classroom.
教室的前面有一張大課桌。(桌子在室內)
in case of VS. in the case of
前者表示「萬一……」，後者則表示「在……的情況下」
例如In case of fire, please ring the bell.
萬一失火，請拉警鈴。
例如：In the case of learning Chinese, many foreign students feel hard.
